The InNitri® name is an acronym for
Inexpensive Nitrification. The InNitri system is a side
stream nitrification system that is designed to treat the
high TKN internal plant recycle streams, handling ~30% of
the plant TKN load. As such InNitri is optimized to maximize
nitrifier growth. Excess (or waste) nitrifiers from the
InNitri system are wasted into the main aeration tanks,
thereby continually increasing the nitrifier population
in that system. The InNitrisystem features:
